James Lofton at His Easel
July 27th 5-7pm & July 28th 1-7 pm
Ongoing: Original works on canvas and paper on exhibition on the gallery.
As a part of POP Saturdays, a weekly event in which the gallery is transformed into a studio for the POP artists, local artist James Lofton will be creating works on paper and on canvas on the weekend of July 27th.
Lofton's paintings are a freeform representation of his thoughts and emotions and are open to interpretation by the viewer. a resolute abstractionist, he believes that the viewer's interpretation defines each painting's existence.
This event is free of charge.
POP Gallery opened in March and is fast becoming a place to see and be seen in Santa Fe. Whimsical works on paper and canvas are presented artfully in a lush and vibrant space unique to the city. Genres include illustration, animation, sculpture and encaustics with a focus on pop modernism art in numerous media. Bronze, wood and resin sculpture and furniture are offered in a modern vein.
POP has a stable of known artists both living and deceased including but not limited to Abstract, Illustration, Animation, Comic, Portraiture, Landscapes, Still Life and Sculpture in numerous media including glass, bronze, resin and ceramic. We also offer emerging artists wall space in an ever challenging market.
