A sneak look into the works by emerging POP artists of Native American heritage. The Generation X of established artisans, many
well decorated and recognized in the Santa Fe Art community.
Works on vinyl-yes that is LP-by at least ten artists including Rose B. Simpson, Douglas Miles, Jolene Ninebah Yazzie, Jake Fragua, Cannupa Hanska, MICAH, Yakita Starr Fields, Cougar, Jonathan Nelson and Nanker Phelge.
POP Gallery is pleased to offer these young artisans wall space and an opportunity to share their vision of art outside the stereotypical view of Native American art. They are inspirational and we are grateful to be part of their creative outlet.
POP Gallery opened in March and is fast becoming a place to see and be seen in Santa Fe. Whimsical works on paper and canvas are presented artfully in a lush and vibrant space unique to the city. Genres include illustration, animation, sculpture and encaustics with a focus on pop modernism art in numerous media. Bronze, wood and resin sculpture and furniture are offered in a modern vein.
POP has a stable of known artists both living and deceased including but not limited to Abstract, Illustration, Animation, Comic, Portraiture, Landscapes, Still Life and Sculpture in numerous media including glass, bronze, resin & ceramic. We also offer emerging artists wall space in an ever challenging market.
