POP Saturdays Presents:

Diego Lukezic At His Easel

July 13th 5-7 pm & July 14th 1-7pm

Ongoing: sculpture and works on canvas on exhibition in the gallery.

Diego and Valerie Lukezic moved to Santa Fe from New Orleans after losing their home & gallery in Hurricane Katrina. They moved into a Canyon Road studio and have been embraced by Santa Feans and tourists for the last two years. While Santa Fe has been a wonderful provider for the couple, home for them is still in New Orleans where they plan to return in September of this year.

Initially their plan had been to pack up their studio and bid farewell to the City Different until they met Michael and Sharla of the POP Gallery. An unexpected collaboration ensued and Lukezic will be able to maintain a relationship with Santa Fe by leaving a sentimental part of his past to be shown at the POP Gallery.

POP has provided a home for Tangodog, Diego Lukezic’s work, and is now featuring his sculptural works for the first time in Santa Fe.

As a part of POP Saturdays, a weekly event in which the gallery is turned into a studio for the POP artists, Diego Lukezic will be creating works on paper and on canvas on the weekend of July 13th.
