Abstract

It’s a delightful morning for Cowgirl Barbie to put on the dog and show off her new red boots.
She has managed to sweeten up the usually nagging little guy with a yummy cupcake.



This painting evolved from a series of spontaneous “cowgirl”
sketches I made several years ago. In this composition,
the American Pop icon, “Barbie,” meets the classic cubist,
Picasso (out-west, of course). Cowgirls are generally lively,
tough, and independent. There are always a few sides to these gals...
like the very blonde, fancy boots, glitzy belt buckles, silky scarf,
tight jeans, and smoochie red lips sides (to name a few).
