The picture of the Grand Canal was shot from the Rialto Bridge, around 6:00 am to give Venice the look of an old movie set with the empty balconies and the deserted canal. The Montage was made by combining the famous Trevi fountain in Rome, which I shot a few days later, to give the image a surreal scenario of Gondoliers going down a waterfall in total control, for the more adventure seeking tourists.-Thomas Barbey
