Established in 2007 as New Mexico's first cutting edge gallery, Pop continues to raise the bar locally and draw established and emerging New Brow Contemporary artists to Santa Fe from around the world. Our vision is rooted in providing art lovers with a thought provoking alternative. Rising from the underground world of tattooing and graffiti, comics, cartoons, pop art, illustration, and surrealist artists, the art showcased feeds of the blend of influences and energies well cemented in today's culture. In essence, Pop Gallery continues to represent a celebration of mediums and ideas, the dynamic union between independence and spirit, the emergence of sub-culture on a contemporary platform. Founded by Michael McDowell and Sharla Throckmorton McDowell who together have over 30 years experience in the Santa Fe and International art communities. They have curated some of the most relevant Mod-Western and Contemporary exhibitions in the market to date. Pop gallery is simply an opportunity to connect diverse creatives with purveyors of the unique.
Paying It Forward:
As Santa Feans we recognize the importance of the arts and charity in our community. We partner with local literacy organizations, charities/events such as Assistance Dogs of The West, The Santa Fe Childrens Museum, Project 236, Read Across America, NM-NEA, Gerards House, Under Dog Rescue, The Adaptive Ski Program, Buckaroo Ball, Meds and Food for Kids, Bienvenidos Outreach and Southwest C.A.R.E. Center among others. A portion of every sale at Pop Gallery goes directly back into our art community through charitable donations.
Artist Submissions:
We are currently committed however do periodically review submissions from New Brow Contemporary artists not currently represented in Santa Fe.
Given that decisions are not made on site, and that gallery hours are reserved for clients and retail operations, we will not consider artists who call or stop by the gallery. Thank you for understanding the gallery receives many artist submissions each week and it takes awhile to review and respond to them and sometimes, we cannot get to all of them. If we feel your work is a particular fit we will contact you for an interview. Send high quality images of current and past work with full captions, your artist statement and complete CV that includes your education, exhibitions, gallery representations, awards, teaching, collections and publications. Include your website if you have one and complete contact information including mailing address, email and phone.
Please mail submissions to:

Due to the heavy volume of submissions regretfully we cannot respond to all submissions.Thank you- POP Gallery
