| Contemporary The window is a portal. Taking you someplace. Outdoors. Go. Art creates a portal. A portal to another world or another way of seeing the world. Through different eyes you can see what life might be like from a different perspective. How would a bison see the world differently from a rabbit for example? We share this world with other creatures. We believe all creatures on the planet are interconnected. What happens to them happens to us. At DKLA Design, our mission is to bring other species into human consciousness. Using animal imagery makes a claim for the universal. Our methods give life to inert hard material. These forces shape this material into living creatures. And this tells the story of human beings who care. “Thinking Wild Portals” is our way to transport the viewer to another way of seeing. Pop Gallery is pleased to have represented DKLA Designs in Santa Fe, NM since 2018. We work with designers, private and corporate collectors on commission projects, for indoor or outdoor use.
